Everybody’s Mother was formed out of my real life experiences. I have been a mother for over 25 years, and I’m also a grandmother. I’ve always been a good listener, and I like to help people. I love children, and I relate well to most people.
One day, I was talking to my husband, and he said, “you are everybody’s mother.” I thought about it, and I realized he was right. People come to me with their problems, and I help them by listening, giving advice, support, and sometimes a container of homemade chicken soup. I tell them to take their vitamins, wear a hat in the sun, bundle up in the winter, and get plenty of rest when they’re sick.
Most of the time, people don’t want someone to solve their problems - they know what to do - they just need a friendly, caring ear for 15 minutes.
